This 90-minute complimentary session is designed for local stakeholders that are invested in optimizing outcomes for children with disabilities of all ages. We are inviting special educators, administrators, parents and community agency representatives free of charge, to hear the good news of Special Education as seen through the eyes of Bob Barrows, Special Education Consultant currently working for the Colorado Department of Education and Mesa County Valley School District 51. Participants will be exposed to the professional learning formats that Bob is using nationwide to draw comparisons to their current practice and experiences.
This event will help you take an objective look at how we are supporting students with disabilities while also receiving a rejuvenating opportunity to connect with local colleagues. You'll be able to conclude your work week in a rejuvenating location and reflect on how we all are unified in ensuring a symbiotic path to adult success for our students and young adults with exceptionalities. Feel free to arrive early to walk the tranquil grounds and enjoy the scenery and wildlife in the area.
Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
