Leaders in special education should not be overwhelmed with litigation and crisis that can cloud focus on the overall health of special education in districts and AUs.
Special Education administrators are often demoralized, faced with unprecedented staffing shortages and an ever-growing litigious environment that comes from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The Clarity & Order events for SPED Administrators helps you analyze your district or AU’s special education effectiveness in the areas of climate, structure, and performance. You'll collaborate with fellow administrators from different regions of the country in a therapeutic environment. These events help you take an objective look at your SPED program leadership while also receiving a rejuvenating opportunity to reset attitudes and dedication to supporting students with disabilities. You'll be able to transform your leadership of Special Education so there's a climate of collaboration, a unified direction, and a seamless path to adult success for students with disabilites.
This two-day professional learning event is designed for Special Education administrators to self-assess their continuum of special education programs and services, districtwide, through interactive dialogue with colleagues based on nationally recognized standards. Participants will create a plan for improvement based on the strengths and opportunities for growth identified through the assessment of 21 different special education elements which are critical for success in districts and administrative units.
